Motorcycle Forest Access Permits – Available at Tasman Honda
Ride Legally in the Moutere Tasman Pine Forest with an NMCC Permit.
Tasman Honda is proud to be an approved dealer for the Nelson Motorcycle Club (NMCC) forest access permit program.
If you're a club member looking to ride in the Moutere North Forest, you can now complete your free bike inspection and collect your permit right here at our Honda Motorbike Dealership.
Step 1. Become a NMCC Member
The current Membership year runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. New memberships are now available for the 2025/26 membership year.

Step 2. Apply for your Permit
Complete the Online Application
Fill out the Forest Permit Application Form and complete the induction.
Permits Costs (Payable Online during Application)
Adults: $60 and Juniors (under 16): $40

Get Your SP Number
After submitting the form and payment, you’ll receive a unique SP number via email.
Step 3. Get Your Bike Inspected with Tasman Honda
Get Inspected
Bring your bike into our shop at 25 Elms Street, Stoke NELSON or, give us a call on 03 544 8703 or, email your request to workshop@tasmanhonda.co.nz
We'll carry out a quick safety and compliance check to get your bike permit ready.​
Once your bike passes inspection, we’ll issue your permit on the spot.
